On Friday October 16th, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago held their annual Champions for Children’s event. The event took place at the Hilton on the Magnificent mile. Over 20 professional athletes who support the hospital were present and their team mascots from the Chicago White Sox “SouthPaw” to “Tommy Hawk” from the Chicago Blackhawks. The Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center hosted their 8th Annual Guys’ Night Out for the Kids on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Kaiser Tiger. The night helped raise more than $150,000 for the center. The Chicago Children’s Advocacy is the city’s only not-for-profit organization that coordinates the efforts of child protection staff, law enforcement professionals, family advocates, medical experts and mental health clinicians under one roof.
