Last week HBK attended the Father Mac Appreciation Award Annual Luncheon hosted at Maggiano’s. The 2016 recipient was Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County Board President. On Thursday November 10th, HBK’s CEO Ron Kaminski joined 200 children at the Macy’s 2nd annual Operation Happy Children event. Pre-school student were treated to breakfast in the Walnut room and a visit with Santa. To read more about this event, click here.
One Million Degrees is dedicated to empowering low-income students attending community colleges to succeed in school and in life. The program provides academic, financial, professional, and personal support to students to put them on a degree earning track. On Saturday, November 5, One Million Degrees is hosted a scholar’s workshop where HBK employees volunteered to lead small roundtable discussions and sit on panels. Topics of discussions covered
This past Friday Chicago Common hosted its annual Pour Out Your Heart event at Venue One to raise funds for families, children, and seniors. This year’s event was presented by Marina Cartage and Chicago Commons’ Emerging Leaders Council. Over $120K was raised that night to support their programs.
Last week HBK joined other Innovative partners at ComEd’s Chicago Training Facility located on 35th and Iron to provide an overview of ComEd’s EIMA Manhole Refurbishment Program. Last Saturday HBK joined Nicor Gas, Intren, and many more companies to support the Quad County Urban League Harvest Gala Auction. The Quad County Urban League’s mission is to help secure equal opportunities for all disadvantaged persons and people of color, including African Americans, women and persons with disabilities.
