On Sunday September 17th HBK rocked the Midway 5k race! The race took place on the airfield at Midway Airport. All the proceeds went to Special Olympics. HBK is a proud sponsor of The Butterfield Park District and Exelon. All of the proceeds from the Butterfield Golf Classic went to help with scholarships for high risk children, playgrounds, early childhood development programs, and before/after school programs.
HBK was a proud sponsor of the Organization of Latinos at Exelon (OLE) at the 15th Annual OLE Golf Outing at Ruffled Feathers Golf Course in Lemont. This is OLE’s annual fundraiser and all proceeds raised are used to provide scholarships to Latino college-bound students.
HBK attended and sponsored the 4th Annual Spark Awards Dinner benefiting The Chicago Metro History Fair at The Chicago History Museum. The Spark Awards have honored individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Chicago history, History Fair, and education. Over the past 40 years, nearly a half million students have participated in History Fair, inspiring them to learn more about their community and sparking their interest
At the beginning of the month our Infrastructure team moved to our Carroll Street Office. With the continuous growth of HBK we now have our Power, Locating, and Infrastructure teams at our Carroll Office. To welcome the team a potluck and ice cream social took place, and the employees had a blast!
HBK was a sponsor at our neighborhood park, Mary Bartleme Park down the street from the Van Buren Office. The Park Advisory Council hosted the Block Party to involve the community and benefit the park. It featured food trucks, local vendors, live music and many more activities.

Our Norristown Employees represented HBK at this years Annual JDRF Chip for a Cure. JDRF exists for the millions of children, adults, and families affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) every single day. Their determination to overcome this disease strengthens ours to end it by funding life-changing T1D research.
