Mercy Homes Haunted House

HBK had the pleasure of joining our neighbor Mercy Homes for Boys and Girls in their annual Halloween festivities. This year, HBK employees joined forces with the Mercy Home staff to create an all out Haunted House. Thank you to all HBK employees who participated in creating a maze, spooky museum, and fun games for the night.                                                     

ChildServ: Founder’s Day Gala 2017

HBK received The Lucy Rider Meyer Humanitarian Award for Corporate Leadership at this years Founder’s Day Gala. Casa Central: Dia De Los Muertos

On October 20th, Casa Central celebrated the Day of the Dead. All proceeds for their annual dinner will go to their social services. HBK Staking Training

On Saturday October 21, Paul Larkin of Staking University conducted a safety, locating and continuing education class at HBK Carroll St. location. This is just another example of HBK commitment to protecting our clients infrastructure and making sure our staff is current in every aspect of locating.

HBK went all in for Erie House

This past weekend HBK employees showed their support in a round of Texas Hold’ em tournament hosted by Erie Neighborhood House. All proceeds of this event benefited the youth scholarship fund for their TEAM program. TEAM (Tutoring to Educate for Aims and Motivation) a mentoring program Providing youth grades 7-12 with focused, academic support through weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions with mentors from a variety of professional fields.  

Museum of Science and Industry: Science Works

HBK attended the annual Museum of Science and Industry: Science Works. This is a Museum-wide career fair inviting youth and families to learn about interesting jobs straight from the STEM professionals with an array of dynamic speakers, hands-on activities and one-on-one discussions. New Life for Haiti Gala

With all that is happening around the world, HBK continues to support communities rebuild. On Saturday October 14th New Life for Haiti hosted it’s annual gala to raise fund to help support development projects in Haiti. HBK attends the 2nd Annual WEN Chicago EmPOWERment Luncheon

Women’s Energy Network Chicago hosted its 2nd annual Signature Luncheon on Thursday October 12th at the Montgomery Club. Keynote speaker, Emily Grasile, Chief Curiosity Correspondent at the Field Museum wowed the crowd with her empowering path from an art major to where she stands now in a STEM field.  The agenda also included the outgoing and incoming of WEN Chicago Presidents, the POWERful Woman award

Victory Gardens: Chicago Stories

HBK Employees Amanda Payonk and Susie Othman attended the Chicago Stories Gala at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The night celebrated the vital work of Victory Gardens Theater and its invaluable supporters from across the country. Anne Pramaggiore, President and CEO of ComEd was an Honoree at the Gala.

DePaul Cristo Rey Bessette Brothers Golf Outing

HBK attended the 6th Annual Bessette Brothers Golf Outing. The Golf Classic raised over $65,000 for the DePaul Cristo Rey Tuition Assistance Fund. Our HBK foursome had a great day on the course.

2017 Iowa River Cleanup

HBK was a proud sponsor at the Iowa River Cleanup. Employees from HBK’s  Iowa City office spent the day volunteering cleaning up the river. Volunteers started their day with a bus ride from Hills Access to Sturgis boat ramp. ASCE 2017 Annual Award Dinner

HBK attended and sponsored this years American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Annual Award Dinner. At the award dinner ASCE Illinois Section awards were presented and new Life Members were honored. The American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 15,00 members of the civil engineering profession in 117 countries. Archdiocese of Baltimore 9th Annual Gala

HBK employees from the East Coast Offices attended the 9th Annual Archdiocese of Baltimore Gala. The Gala celebrated Catholic Schools to promote the mission of the archdiocesan schools and raise funds for tuition assistance scholarships. Iowa City Attends Growing Sustainable Communities and Upper Midwest APA Conferences

HBK attended and sponsored the 10th Annual Growing Sustainable Communities Conference and the Upper Midwest APA Conference.
