HBK Sponsors ACE Mentor Luncheon

On Thursday February 15th, HBK employees spent the afternoon at the Chicago Hilton Hotel, celebrating 18th annual luncheon for the Chicago ACE Mentor program. Chicago ACE Mentor program mentors students who have interest in architecture, construction, and engineering. The money raised at the luncheon directly supports renewable four-year college scholarships that are awarded to ACE students each year.  Every year attendees get to work with

HBK supports Ronald McDonald House

On Sunday February 11th, HBK sponsored a lane at the Ronald McDonald House Rolling for Ronald bowling event hosted at the Arena Lanes in Oak Lawn. Proceeds from this event will support families with critically ill children by allowing them to stay together at Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital. Thank you to all the HBK employees who supported the event.                                 

HBK @ University of Chicago Hackathon

This past weekend, HBK programmers, joined Uncommon Hacks at the University of Chicago 30- hour intercollegiate hackathon.  Uncommon Hacks is committed to building a community of students excited about using technology in creative and quirky ways. Future of Promise Dinner: Erie House

The Table is Set for the 2018 Future of Promise Dinner Erie Neighborhood House will host its annual Future of Promise awards dinner on Thursday, March 1, at Chicago’s Radisson Blu Aqua. Luries Step UP for Kids

HBK volunteers spent their Saturday morning setting up the stairwell in the AON building for the 21st annual Aon Center Step Up for Kids. $623,677.08 was raised for patients and families of Ann & Robert H. Lurie’s Children’s Hospital.                        

Wolcott Career Day

On January 24th, 12 students from Wolcott School visited HBK for a Career Day. Students learned more about HBK Engineering and what a future in STEM can bring. The topics discussed were field work, Civil Engineering, GIS, Locating, and Safety.

Iowa City Volunteers at Shelter House Christmas Party

Employees from our Iowa City Office volunteered at the Shelter House’s Christmas Party. Volunteers put together a gingerbread house building station, provided music and story-telling, and organized crafts. There was a  surprise visit from Santa and the kids were star-struck to say the least.
