Yesterday HBK joined Habitat for Humanity Chicago to help build out two of the 16 homes in West Pullman at 119th and Union. HBK was joined by the Wells Fargo team to help frame walls, out up exterior drywall, and water proof the houses. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for the opportunity to help build a stable home for the families.

On May 3rd, HBK attended the 4th Annual Luminary Award Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. The night included survivor Hannah Morrow who delivered her passionate remarks about her experiences and sexual abuse prevention. HBK is a proud sponsor of the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center and their mission to unite public, private and community partners to ensure the safety, health and well-being of abused children.
Last week the National Museum of Mexican Art held their annual Gala de Arte at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. On April 23rd, for the second year in a row, volunteers in our Iowa offices teamed up for Terry Trueblood Recreation Area Clean Up. Activities included weeding, mulching, and general park clean up. This was a great opportunity to give back to the community as well as a team building opportunity for the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City offices.

HBK’s East Coast volunteers spent their lunch break making lunches for construction workers who were volunteering their time at a Habitat for Humanity site. This was a unique opportunity to give back to the construction workers who are giving families a safe and healthy place to grow. HBK IMPACT volunteers partnered with MZI Group, Inc. for a sundae bar at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. Earlier in the day volunteers created cards for the kids encouraging them to finish school strong for their last quarter! Later, volunteers spent time with the kids distributing the cards and serving ice cream sundaes. Volunteers were given a tour of the Mercy Home
HBK Volunteers from our Oak Brook office spent the afternoon packing meals for the neediest children around the world. We packed 180 boxes, feeding 77,760 babies! Days like today remind us Hope is STRONGER than hunger!
