Congratulations to Olivia Marshall for receiving the ENR Midwest’s 2018 Top Young Professionals under 40! Every year, each region from the ENR will highlight a group of individuals under the age of 40 who represent the industry’s top rising leads by giving back to their industry and communities.

Olivia began her career at the University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. During her time at Michigan she was an active leader serving as President of Chi Epsilon, the Civil Engineering Honor Society, and committee chair for the Society of Women Engineers. Upon graduating with a Master degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, Olivia started with HBK Engineering.

With over 2 years experience, she was promoted to project manager for her dedication and attention to detail. In this project management role, Olivia has excelled in building efficiencies that have led to increased productivity for the company’s business line. Marshall currently manages 7 HBK survey crews and the gas pipeline construction companies. She will be receiving her Professional Engineer license in March 2018 upon completing the final work experience requirement.

Away from the office, Olivia is the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Volunteering Untapped Chicago. As part of this role, Olivia is in charge of working with and setting up all of the volunteering events that they engage in on a monthly basis. She finds it deeply rewarding to further the missions of local nonprofits working directly in the neediest communities.
