HBK Engineer Tony D’Angelo presented at the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) Junior Cafes on Thursday, December 3rd. Through the virtual events, professionals speak to grade school students to promote careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Tony addressed students in third grade classes from Ridge Lawn Elementary School via Zoom. He led a lively discussion as the children asked questions about how he likes being an engineer, what kinds of work he does each day, and specialties in engineering careers. Tony shared his work experience from working in a restaurant to going back to school and pursuing a career in engineering. He led the classrooms with demos of the tools he uses every day to design underground utilities. When asked by students what his favorite part of working for HBK was, he answered, “I really enjoy the diversity of projects I get to work on from gas to telecom to power.”
MSI Junior Science Cafes are held In lieu of field trips to the museum during this time of COVID. Thank you MSI for allowing our employee to give back!
