HBK’s National Volunteer Week- Mercy Home for Boys and Girls Sundae Bar

HBK IMPACT volunteers partnered with MZI Group, Inc. for a sundae bar at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. Earlier in the day volunteers created cards for the kids encouraging them to finish school strong for their last quarter!         Later, volunteers spent time with the kids distributing the cards and serving ice cream sundaes. 2018 Construct Graduation

On April 13th HBK attended amongst other agencies, labor unions, and partnering companies the 2018 Construct Graduation at UIC campus. We wish the best for each graduate in their future! CONSTRUCT is an nine-week training program offering up the information and guidance needed to compete for good-paying, entry-level jobs in construction-related fields. National Society of Black Engineers Expo 2018

On February 24th, HBK volunteers spend the morning talking with young adults interested in STEM at the University of Chicago for the 2018 National Society of Black Engineers Expo. Employees interacted with students about HBK and discussed the future of STEM. The NSBE Expo exposes Chicago K-12 students to STEM related activities and fields.
