The 2018 Construct class attended a career fair on Friday March 16th at Kennedy King College. Over 40 companies were present as candidates walked the space to speak to HR representatives of each company. HR representatives shared career opportunities for their companies and what to expect when a candidate goes through the hiring process. HBK is proud to support Construct.

On February 23rd, HBK Engineering employee, Camden Breeding P.E. presented at North-Grand High School to Mr. Richard Moore’s senior level Civil and Architectural Engineering class as part of an Engineering Week partnership between HBK Engineering, NSPE-IL, and Chicago Public Schools. The students are enrolled in a pre-engineering curriculum which prepares them for college level STEM courses. The presentation focused on the role the electrical grid
On February 24th, HBK volunteers spend the morning talking with young adults interested in STEM at the University of Chicago for the 2018 National Society of Black Engineers Expo. Employees interacted with students about HBK and discussed the future of STEM. The NSBE Expo exposes Chicago K-12 students to STEM related activities and fields.
